Ken's Apartment
Lita was well aware of the warmness in her cheeks. His voice was deep, almost hypnotically deep. She forced the feeling down with an abruptness that she was sure could be seen by Charles. She was immediately sorry, because he seemed to sense her shift in moods. "Was it something I said?" he asked cautiously.

"No!" Lita replied a little too quickly. "It's... nothing. I'm sorry. I was just shocked at your eyes. They really are striking."

Charles smiled again. "Well, I'm flattered. Please... won't you and your lady friend sit down?"

Mina manipulated herself right next to Ken. Lita took a seat across from Charles. She tried not to stare too much. She was still embarrassed about her reaction to her own usual behavior.
